What was once a collection of niche fandoms have now taken centerstage and are now considered a significant part of Manila’s fabric as traffic, sisig, and jeepneys. As more and more people in the Metro openly embrace their geekiness, more and more groups create havens for these fans. And yet, Manila Geek Culture still feels young and on the cusp of explosive growth. Exciting times, indeed.
